Solar energy is the topic of this week’s “Champions of Industry” segment. While many people are finding ways to cut back on their electric bill, some are eliminating it completely. Solar powered house boats run entirely off of electricity powered by the sun and are self-sustainable along as well as eco-friendly. The “Champions of Industry” crew will travel to California this month to film a segment on organic clothes that have been Fair Trade certified. Fair Trade certification of clothes ensures equality and better working conditions for factory workers while also benefiting our environment by utilizing organic products. Buying with an eco-friendly mindset helps to ensure a smaller carbon footprint on our earth leaving behind a brighter future for the next generations.
